Hundreds of citizens from Quneitra province protest against the Israeli scheme to internationalize Quneitra crossing

Citizens from the Syrian province of Quneitra on Monday organized a protest in rejection the Israeli entity‘s provocative and interventionist measures towards Syria, stressing that they will foil the Zionist scheme that aims at internationalizing the Quneitra crossing.

SANA, the Syrian Arab News Agency said that the participants gathered at the crossing of the liberated city of Quneitra to protest against the Israeli authorities’ practices and insistence on adopting a failed policy through interfering in Syria’s internal affairs, considering this interventionist policy as an attack on the Syrian sovereignty.

In a statement to SANA, Secretary of the Quneitra branch of the Baath Arab Socialist Party, Dr. Khaled Abaza, affirmed the Syrians’ insistence on foiling the Zionist scheme represented by the internationalization of the Quneitra crossing by the Israeli occupation.

He clarified that the crossing or the gate of the liberated city of Quneitra was established in accordance with international agreements to facilitate the crossing of the people in the occupied Syrian Golan to their mother country, Syria, to help the students in occupied Golan complete their studies in the Syrian universities and to market the Golan apple crop. He affirmed that this gate will not be a crossing for the occupation to pass and implement its hostile policies which target the unity of the Syrian society.

The participants reiterated their rejection of bringing in so-called aid convoys into the Syrian territories through Al-Quneitra crossing. They said that the Israeli occupation authorities are trying to exploit the humanitarian side ignoring that the Syrian people’ suffering from the suffocating economic blockade and terrorist war is the result of the global Zionist scheme which has been targeting the Arab nation.

Sheikh Mansour Fadlallah Namour from Sweida province stressed that the citizens in Jabal Al-Arab will not accept any aid convoys from the Israeli entity, affirming that Sweida province will never accept to compromise on the safety of the homeland.

On his part, Sheikh Azzam Al-Kheder, representative of the Arab tribes in Syria, reiterated that Israel is an occupation entity and its aggressive policies are clear to the Syrian people.

The protest was organized by the Quneitra Baath Part Branch and Quneitra governorate.
