Honoring the 2020 Tokyo Olympics champions

 Yesterday, the General Sports Federation honored the Syrian sports heroes who participated in the July Tokyo Olympic Gamesduring the Individual Sports Festival on the old fairgrounds.

 

Mrs. Manal Al-Assad, Honorary President of the Equestrian Federation, honored the participants in the Tokyo Olympics, namely, Majd Al-Din Ghazal in athletics, Maan Asaad in weightlifting and table tennis player Hend Zaza, in addition to the players of the Syrian national team for special sports who participated in the Paralympic Games, namely Muhammad Al-Mohammed in athletics, and physical strength players NawaraBodour and Fatima Hassan.

The honoring ceremony witnessed sports and artistic performances, and the festival was accompanied by a series of sports performances presented by Syrian athletes in various individual games.

In his speech during the ceremony, the President of the General Sports Federation, Firas Mualla, pointed out the importance of individual sports in achieving medals in various tournaments.

In turn, the honorees expressed their happiness with this honoring ceremony, which motivates them to exert more efforts to provide a better performance in the upcoming tournaments, achieve good results, and win medals.

A number of athletes who participated in a variety of sports during the festival expressed their willingness to participate in international championships, leading to the Olympic competitions, the main goal for athletes.

The honorees said that the festival was a good opportunity to introduce the importance of their sports and their champions.
