Aleppo Governorate honored on Saturday a thousand families of martyrs during a ceremony held at Al-Assad Sports Hall, with an official and popular presence.

The honoring ceremony included theatrical and artistic performances talking about the heroism of the Syrian Arab Army against terrorism, and a documentary film highlighting the sacrifices and heroisms of our valiant army and its defeat of terrorism in Aleppo and the role played in the reconstruction.

Hussein Diab, Governor of Aleppo, indicated in his speech that the Syrian Arab Army faced global terrorism, and army personnel sacrificed their lives for the homeland.

The Deputy Defense Minister, General Mahmoud al-Shawa, pointed out that this celebration comes in appreciation of the heroism of the Syrian Arab Army, which words cannot describe.

Ogli, the wife of the martyr Major General Ali Ogli, gave a speech in which she pointed out that thanks to the sacrifices and heroisms of the martyrs of the Syrian Arab Army and its steadfastness in the face of terrorism, the city of Aleppo has returned as it was – a symbol of life and love.

A number of honorable martyrs’ families affirmed the holiness of martyrdom and their pride in their sons who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the country’s pride and dignity.
