Homs Electricity Company completes studying 5 renewable energy projects in Hasya’a industrial city

The General Electricity Company of Homs has completed studying a number of renewable energy projects in Hasya’a and Jandar to be carried out in the near future.

Eng. Bassam Al-Yousef, Director of Planning in Homs Electricity Company, said in a statement to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) that the company has completed the study of 5 projects, including renewable energy project “solar panels” with a capacity of 10 megabytes in the industrial city of Hasya’a, which is equivalent to a third of the city’s total electricity consumption.

This project is scheduled to be completed and put into investment in August 2022.  

Eng. Al-Yousef referred to the completion of all procedures to start carrying out 4 other “solar” projects in Jandar with a capacity of 26 megabytes, to be ready by the end of 2022.

Regarding licensing applications for renewable energy projects, Al-Yousef noted that there are two applications for licensing in the industrial city of Hasy’a with a capacity of 8 kilowatts and 150 kilowatt.
