Higher Education: Fourth announcement of the Scientific Research and Technological Development Support Fund

Damascus (ST): The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has launched the fourth announcement of the Fund for Supporting Scientific Research and Technological Development for the year 2022 with the aim of attracting research projects in various sectors (Syrian public and private universities and Syrian research centers and bodies).

 The ministry’s announcement included the conditions for accepting the research for financial support, which is that the scientific research has an added scientific value and has practical, developmental and economic feasibility results so that it can be benefited from in one of the public or private agencies and that it contributes to solving technical problems that institutions and companies suffer from  to develop their products and services and enable them to improve their competitiveness or find alternatives, as well as support the employment of science and knowledge in scientific research to develop technology and direct it to solving problems and marketing the results of scientific research.

It is also a condition, according to the Ministry’s announcement, that the scientific research is accompanied by internal or external scientific publication, and that the applicant for financial support holds a postgraduate degree (Ph D) and belongs to one of the scientific research institutions, indicating that a request for financial support for a research project can be submitted by a team of researchers, provided that they are headed by a principal researcher who fulfills the aforementioned conditions.
