Minister of Health Hassan Al-Ghabbash and the Honorary Consul of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, Muhammad Muslim Al-Droubi on Thursday discussed ways to enhance cooperation in the health field between the two countries.
During the meeting, Al-Ghabbash stressed the deep and strong relations between the two countries, indicating the importance of cooperation and coordination in the health issues, which contributes to the development of the health sector in the two countries.
For his part, Al-Droubi referred to the distinguished relations between Syria and Sri Lanka at all levels and to the mutual respect and support. He expressed hope for further cooperation between the two countries, especially in the health field and the exchange of medical expertise.
In another meeting, Minister Al-Ghabbash discussed in with the Malaysian Honorary Consul in Syria Samir Al-Kour the importance of developing coordination and cooperation between the two countries in the health field, especially with regard to medical equipment, noting Malaysia’s support for the Syrian people during the earthquake disaster by sending humanitarian and medical aid.
Al-Kour, for his part stressed his country’s keenness to strengthen relations with Syria in all fields, especially the health sector, and to expand the circle of cooperation in the scientific field and research related to the health sector.
