Haidar says political solution to be emerged from national dialogue conference in homeland

DAMASCUS,(ST)_ State Minister of National Reconciliation Affairs Ali Haidar has said that political solution to the crisis in Syria will be emerged from a national dialogue conference in the homeland.

His remark came during a consultative meeting held today in the ‘Dama Rose’ Hotel in Damascus between National parties and commissions under the slogan ‘all roads lead to Damascus’.

He indicated that Russia’s initiative to resolve the crisis in Syria is a first step to pave the way for holding a dialogue conference from which political solution will be emerged.

On his part, Secretary General of the Arab Solidarity Party Maher Karam asserted that the real dialogue must be held in Damascus between the real representatives of the Syrian people and not between representatives of anti-Syria embassies.

“Any national dialogue must be based on counterterrorism as a priority and rejection of foreign intervention,” Spokesman of the National Action Commission Ilyan Mas’ad underlined.

While member of the Peaceful Change Forces Coalition Fateh al-Jamos affirmed the need of partnership in political process to resolve the crisis in Syria and to get an accurate understanding of dialogue principle that meets the Syrian people’s aspirations and interests.

Today’s meeting between Syrian parties and commission is a preparatory meeting for consultative meeting to be held in Moscow on January 26, 2015, Secretary of the People Part Nawwaf Trad al-Melhim said.

According to the official news agency (SANA), the participants in the meeting underscored that political solution based on national dialogue is the only exit to the crisis in Syria.

They stressed the importance of the national dialogue that leads to consolidate bases of freedom, dignity, democracy and security and to preserve Syria’s unity and sovereignty.

The participants, in addition, indicated that political solution contributes to mobilization of all national forces to combat terrorism and extremism, highly appreciating efforts exerted by Syria’s friendly countries during the crisis.

State Ministry of National Reconciliation Affairs organized the meeting in which Syrian national dialogue committee and national parties and commission took part.
