Giving the name Palestine to a heavenly star

The Star Registration website adopted the name “Palestine” of a bright star in the sky, at the request of Kuwaiti training and media experts Dr. Musa Al-Mazidi, a faculty member at Kuwait University, and his brother, Dr. Zuhair Al-Mazidi.
The two Kuwaiti experts, Al-Mazidi, said: “The star registration  website, using information available from space agencies, including NASA, at their request, named a bright star in the sky, visible with the naked eye at night in the Kuwaiti sky, as Palestine.
The two experts added that on Thursday they received an official document and a photo  of the star’s location in the sky. The document was written in English: “The State of Palestine exists  – to remain forever.
They pointed out that naming a bright star in the sky “Palestine” is a step in increasing awareness of the Palestinian issue and enhancing international solidarity with the Palestinian people.
This step is considered an initiative to express the Kuwaiti people’s love for Palestine and their interest in supporting the Palestinian cause.
