First Economic Forum for Small Projects in Homs Discusses Ways to Support and Ensure sustainability of these projects
Homs (ST) – The first economic forum for small projects, hosted by the Homs Chamber of Commerce, discussed ways to support and develop these projects and overcome obstacles facing their continuation and sustainability.
The forum, which was called for by the Local Development Office in the governorate and the Businesswomen Committee in the Chamber of Commerce, was attended by a number of government agencies, representatives of civil society organizations, international organizations and owners of individual initiatives, with the aim of shedding light on successful projects and ways to support owners of proposed and emerging projects by enhancing partnership with all sectors to improve the living and economic situation in general.
During his speech at the opening of the forum, the head of the Homs Chamber of Commerce, Iyad Al-Sabai, talked about the role of the chamber in supporting these projects by providing feasibility studies, cost studies and training, noting the fruitful cooperation with the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority in addition to networking with public and private organizations and bodies.
In turn, the head of the Businesswomen Committee in the Chamber of Commerce, Afaf Al-Hassan, stressed the need to overcome obstacles facing faltering projects and find alternatives for their launch and seek to support them.
