Filipi: The West is responsible for what happened to Syria

The former Czech Ambassador to Syria Eva Filipi has stressed that the West is responsible for what happened to Syria

In an interview with the Czech Seznam website, Filipi said “in Syria, there are many wonderful people who have sincere national goals, but the West has armed and funded the terrorists and supplied them with information with the aim of destroying this beautiful stable country and good people”.

“Syria reflects a sad story, as it was a stable and secure country in 2010,” she added, clarifying that the unjust western siege and sanctions imposed on Syria have had difficult repercussions an all walks of life of the Syrians.

It is to be noted that the Czech Defense Minister Jana Černochová awarded the prize of the Czech writer Arnost Lusting to Filipi, after she ended her mission in Syria and returned home, in recognition to her contribution to perpetuating the concepts of bravery, humanity and justice.
