Euro-Mediterranean Monitor: Israeli entity shelling the schools of the displaced in Gaza, a systematic policy of displacement

The Euro-Mediterranean Monitor for Human Rights confirmed that the escalation of Israeli occupation by bombing schools that have been converted into shelter centers is a systematic policy of forced displacement from Gaza City.

The monitor explained in a statement today that the method of the Israeli entity indicates a clear policy aimed at ending security in the entire strip and depriving its residents of shelter or stability by focusing on the bombing of shelter centers, including those located in UNRWA schools, pointing out that the repeated bombing of displacement and shelter centers indicates determination to impose forced displacement and destroy all the basic elements of life of the people of Gaza.

The monitor pointed out that it documented the direct bombing of 9 schools used as shelter centers for thousands of displaced people in Gaza City during eight days, which led to the death of 79 Palestinians and the injury of 143 others, mostly children and women, in addition to the loss of other people who are still under the rubble. The Observatory also renewed its call on all countries to shoulder their international responsibilities by imposing effective sanctions on the Israeli entity and halting all forms of political, financial and military support and cooperation provided to it.
