EU condemns Israeli officials’ statements about justifying the killing and starving of two million Palestinians in Gaza Strip
The European Union strongly condemned the Israeli occupation officials’ sratement about the killing and starving of two million Palestinians in Gaza Strip
The Palestinian WAFA news agency quoted the European Union as saying today: “The statements made by the Israeli Minister “Bezalel Smotrich” that killing and starving two million people in Gaza can be justified, are extremely shameful and they once again show his contempt for international law and basic principles of humanity.”
The European Union called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza Strip and for ensuring full and unhindered access for humanitarian aid to cover the needs of dozens of civilians, including hundreds of thousands of children who live in extremely dire conditions and are exposed to famine and diseases in Gaza.
The European Union called on the Israeli occupation authorities to implement the relevant UN Security Council resolutions and binding orders issued by the International Court of Justice.
Last month, UN human rights experts confirmed that the starvation campaign carried out by “Israel” against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip constitutes genocide and has caused the spread of famine, calling on the international community to prioritize the delivery of aid to the Strip and end the Israeli siege, while the media office in Gaza confirmed that more than 3,500 children are threatened with death due to famine and malnutrition as a result of the ongoing Israeli aggression.
