Emirati plane, carrying aid to arrivals from Lebanon, arrives at Damascus International Airport

A new Emirati aid plane arrived today at Damascus International Airport carrying a batch of aid allocated for those arriving from Lebanon.
The plane carries 9.6 tons of aid including humanitarian, health and personal care supplies, which were received by the Syrian Arab Red Crescent and will be distributed to those arriving from Lebanon, in coordination with the Emirates Red Crescent and the Supreme Relief Committee.
Today’s plane is the fourth to arrive from the United Arab Emirates in continuation of its efforts to help displaced Lebanese and the returning Syrians, in addition to the humanitarian supplies purchased from the local market.
The total amount provided by the Emirati campaign to provide relief to those arriving from Lebanon to Syrian territory has so far reached 235 tons, including the delivery of 30 tons containing 5,000 baskets of winter clothes of various sizes to meet the needs of affected families, and the delivery of 195.5 tons of food baskets, equivalent to 11,500 food baskets loaded on top of more than 25 trucks, each basket is sufficient for a family of 5 members for a month.
