Defense Minister and his Abkhaz counterpart discuss bilateral relations and sign a joint cooperation agreement
On May 29th, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Army and Armed Forces and Minister of Defense General Ali Mahmoud Abbas met with Abkhaz Minister of Defense Lieutenant-General Vladimir Ivanovich Anwa and the accompanying delegation.
The two sides discussed bilateral relations between the two friendly armies and ways to develop them.
During the meeting, which comes within the framework of strengthening friendship and cooperation relations between Syria and the Republic of Abkhazia, a joint cooperation agreement was signed between the two sides.
The meeting was attended by a number of senior officers of the General Command of the Army and Armed Forces.
An official reception was held for the Abkhaz Minister, where the army orchestra played the national anthems of the two friendly countries, and the guard of honor was displayed.
