Damascus University hosts International Conference on Biomedical Engineering

Damascus, (ST): Preparations are underway for holding the International Conference on Biomedical Engineering (Biomedical Engineering and its Role in Developing Healthcare) scheduled to be held at Damascus University during the period between 16-18 May 2022.

 

Organized by the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Faculty at Damascus University, the International Conference will be held under the patronage of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

The conference will take place at the Damascus University Conference Center (Reda Saeed) – Damascus University – Damascus – Syria. Some sessions will also be held virtually. The conference program will include regular, special, and other sessions to which specialists are invited. Contributions are in Arabic and English.

The conference covers biomedical measurements, medical equipment, medical image processing, biosignals processing and analysis, biomechanics, prosthetics & orthotics, hospital engineering and management, biomedical modeling and control, medical and healthcare robotics, bioinformatics, artificial organs, and artificial intelligence’s medical applications.

 Damascus University has invited researchers in the fields of biomedical engineering from all countries to participate in the conference.  An elite group of doctors in various specializations, researchers at the University, governmental and private hospitals will take part in the conference.

In parallel with the conference, an exhibition of medical devices will be held with the participation of outstanding medical equipment companies in the country to display their medical devices and the latest technologies in the health care field.

 The holding of the conference underlines the importance of biomedical engineering in providing the best solutions to health care problems and keeping pace with the rapid development of technology of medical devices.
