Hanno explained that the reason for choosing the title of the walk , “The Irrigated House,” is because it is one of the names that was given to the city of Damascus, due to the abundance of water in it because of  its geographical location in a fertile plain irrigated by the Barada River and its many branches.
He indicated t6hat the number of the participants in the walk reached about one hundred.
Regarding the importance of focusing on projects related to the issue of climate change, the local president of the JCI  Sineen Al-Sabagh, said: “ we direct our attention to the environment in light of the global climate challenge and the necessity of preserving our planet healthy and clean, through tireless efforts and cooperation with the local community, which was demonstrated  by our cooperation  In this event that combined environment and heritage.”
It is noteworthy that June the 5th  is World Environment Day, which has been supervised by the United Nations Environment Program since 1973. This year, World Environment Day focuses on the topic of land reclamation, desertification, and the ability to adapt to drought, under the slogan “Our land is  our future… together we restore our planet.”
