Prague (ST): Member of the Czech House of Representatives, Jerji Kobza, considered that the membership of Sweden and Finland in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) would undermine the security situation in Europe, which is already shaky. He described it as a very bad step.
In an interview with Parliamentary Papers, he indicated that representatives of the two countries are saying that there will be no military bases or the deployment of nuclear weapons in their territories, but that the matter could change later, as was customary in many similar cases, where it is possible to set up radars aimed at Russia at first, and then the rest of things come.
He stressed that the role of NATO changed long before the war in Ukraine and that it had become offensive and anti-Russian.
In turn, Slovak university professor Vladimir Manda warned that the expansion of NATO to include Sweden and Finland would lead to an increase in the alliance’s aggression against Russia.
