Cultivation of 303 hectares with sunflower and sesame crops in Al-Hasakah

The final area planted with sunflower and sesame crops in Al-Hasakah Governorate reached 303 hectares out of the planned area of 350 hectares.

The Head of the Plant Production Department in the Agriculture Directorate, Engineer Jalal Bilal, stated that the production of the sunflower and sesame crops contributes to meeting the needs of the people and supplying the surplus to other governorates because they are used in the food industry.

Al-Hasakah farmers had recently finished planting their lands with summer vegetable crops, with an area of 6,144 hectares.
