Cuban President affirms his country’s constant support for Syria
Havana, (ST) – Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel has affirmed his country’s unconditional and constant support for Syria in all circumstances.
President Cannel said during an interview with Al-Mayadeen TV on Monday: “After many years of fierce war against Syria, it remained present as a state and its people remained united.” He referred to Syria’s courage and steadfastness in the face of the aggressive war that was aimed at destroying it.
President Cannel strongly condemned the sanctions imposed on the Syrian people and the Western aggressions against them. He affirmed his country’s rejection of the Israeli attacks against Syria, a few days after it was subjected to the earthquake.
On the possibility of visiting Syria, President Cannel said: “I think we will be able to visit Syria this year”. He added that it is our wish to directly express our admiration for Syria’s steadfastness.
