Corona virus kills more than four million and 48 thousand people around the world

Capitals (ST): The Corona virus has claimed the lives of more than four million and 48 thousand people around the world since its outbreak began in December 2019, according to the latest statistics from the American Worldometer website.

According to the website, the total number of  corona infections around the world has so far reached 18,75,952,218 cases, and the total deaths to 4,048,410 cases, while the total number of recoveries from infection with the virus has reached 171,449,728 cases.

The United States continues to lead the countries most affected by the virus in terms of infections and deaths, with 622,845 deaths out of 3,473,593 infections, followed by India with 408,792 deaths out of 30,873,907 infections, and Brazil third with 533,488 deaths out of 1,9089940 infections.
