Competent authorities seize large quantities of Captagon pills prepared for smuggling to nearby country

PALMYRA, JUN.15, (ST)-Today, the competent authorities in Palmyra seized large quantities of the narcotic Captagon pills that were prepared for smuggling by terrorist organizations in the Syrian desert to one of the neighboring countries.

A security source told the  correspondent of the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), “After careful monitoring of the movements of terrorists in the Badia region, large quantities of the narcotic Captagon pills were confiscated during an attempt to smuggle them through the Al-Tanf region to one of the neighboring countries, in coordination with other terrorist groups present in the 55 area which is occupied by American forces.”

Over the past two years, media reports affirmed that trainers affiliated with the American occupation conducted extensive training on the use of RPGs and shoulder-fired missiles for terrorist groups, including ISIS  terrorists before transporting them to the Palmyra Desert to carry out attacks on Syrian Arab Army sites, vital facilities and residential areas in the Syrian desert,  besides creating illegal cross-border corridors to smuggle various quantities of narcotic substances to neighboring countries.
