Yesterday, the bazaar of the Shoaa al-Amal Charity Association for Small and Micro-sized enterprises was launched at the association’s headquarters in Al-Hamra, Homs.
Dozens of women are participating in the two-day bazaar with handicrafts, foods, and Homs dishes such as desserts, kebabs of all kinds, and pastries prepared by the women of the association’s charitable kitchen.
Qamar Daadoush, from the Al-Amal Association workshop, explains that the workshop includes a woolen crafts section, an embroidery and handicrafts section, accessories and bags, and in the sewing section, different types of clothing are tailored and sewn with the participation of dozens of brilliant ladies.
Sajida Jandali, the Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Shoaa Al-Amal Charitable Association in Homs, explained that the bazaar targets women who have lost their breadwinners and are owners of small and micro projects aiming at promoting and marketing their products, as well as helping them enter the labor market and opening the way for them to work in the association’s projects such as the kitchen, workshop and the pastry shop.
She explained that the association’s management seeks to connect with donors to support owners of micro projects and secure raw materials for them.
