Damascus-Aleppo (ST): In the Umayyad Square in Damascus and in front of the Citadel of Aleppo, lovers of authentic Syrian music held celebrations for the registration of the Aleppo Qudoud element on the list of human heritage at UNESCO.
The two festivities included musical performances and songs for Al-Qudud, a performance by the Julnar group for the dance theater in Damascus, in addition to a performance by the Mawlawi troupe in Aleppo, a video announcing the result of approving the inclusion of the Al-Qudud element on the UNESCO list of human heritage, and a film that talked about Al-Qudud accompanied by a projection on the buildings surrounding the Umayyad Square and in front of the Bab Citadel of Aleppo.
Today, a celebration will be held in Damascus, entitled “Our Leaders to Human Heritage,” which will be organized by the Syrian National Band for Arab Music, led by Maestro Adnan Fathallah, at Dar Al-Assad for Culture and Arts.
The celebration will be attended by musicians from all governorates, veteran singers, academic singers, and young adults who receive music sciences from ancient Syrian conservatories, in a message that this great heritage is passed down through generations, and entire governmental and community institutions are working to preserve it.
