By defeating Qatar, our national basketball team qualifies for the Asian finals

On June 14th, the Syrian national basketball team qualified for the Asian finals by defeating Qatar with a score of 67-56 in the match that brought them together in the Jordanian capital, Amman

The Syrian team qualified for the upcoming finals in Indonesia by coming in second in Group E in the qualifiers with nine points, ahead of the Saudi team, which is equal in the same balance, and Qatar team is in fourth place with seven points

 

The Syrian team excelled in the first quarter by 14-9 points, taking advantage of the brilliance of its players in shooting from outside the arc and under the basket. 

In the second quarter, the Syrian team was delayed by one point by 20-19 points, and our team ended the first half of the match with a score of 33 -29 points. 

The Syrian team continued to advance until the end of the third quarter with a score of 47-44 points, while the fourth quarter was decisive to translate its advantage, ending the match with a difference of 11 points, with a result of 67-56 points. 

During qualifying campaign, the Syrian team defeated Saudi Arabia with a score of 57-70 points in the first window, in which it opened its campaign by losing against Iran with a score of 48-64 points, and lost against Qatar by 72-79 points in the second window
