British Defense Secretary Robert Wallace called for reducing Britain’s reliance on the United States in the military field, noting that the isolationist policy pursued by US President Donald Trump has made Washington’s role decline in the world.
In an interview with the Sunday Times, Wallace suggested the government use an upcoming defense review to purchase new equipment to ensure that the U.K. won’t have to rely on the U.S. air forces and its spy planes for future conflicts.
