On May 7th, the British Health Security Agency announced the registration of a human case of the rare contagious monkeypox disease.
“A person in England was diagnosed with monkeypox after visiting Nigeria recently,”Reuters quoted the agency as saying in a statement.
The Agency said that health authorities believe that he may have contracted the virus there.
The Agency added: The injured person is currently receiving medical care in a London hospital, pointing out that the Occupational Health and Safety Services experts will contact people who may have been in contact with the injured.
It is noteworthy that the symptoms of smallpox begin with a feeling of fever and headache, followed by muscle pain, and then swelling of the lymph nodes, which leads to a feeling of fatigue and the appearance of a rash in the form of blisters covered with an external crust.
