Authorities eliminate a terrorist trying to plant explosive device at a road intersection in Daraa

A terrorist was shot dead by concerned authorities when he was trying to plant an explosive device at a road intersection in the Syrian city of Daraa.

A police patrol chased two suspected people driving a motorcycle along the Government Complex street. The two persons were proved to be terrorists trying to plant an explosive device in one of parked cars in this area, a source at Daraa Police Command told SANA.

According to the source, after their plan was uncovered by members of the patrol, the two terrorists started to open fire randomly, injuring a woman who happened to be in the area.  The policemen shot dead one of the terrorists and the woman was transferred to the hospital, the source said.

 The source pointed out that the other terrorist fled, exploiting the presence of a lot of civilians at the site.

The source clarified that the authorities combed the area to arrest the other terrorist and the army engineering units came to dismantle the explosive device.
