On April 9th, Archbishop Krikor Koussa, Bishop of Alexandria for the Armenian Catholics, said that Syria was and will remain a country of peace and love, and its people will win the war that was imposed on them from abroad and rebuild their country.
Koussa chaired the Easter celebration at St. Teresa of the Child Jesus of the Armenian Catholic Church in Cairo.
Bishop Koussa said: “I salute our children in Syria, and I say that we are a people, no matter what difficulties we face, we will rise from that war that they made against us.”
“We will build our homeland with each other, and educate future generations so that this beloved homeland is strong with its children,” he added.
Bishop Koussa congratulated the Syrian leadership on the occasion of Easter, the month of Ramadan and the upcoming Eid al-Fitr.
The Easter celebrations were attended by Basil Scotty, Acting Charge d’Affairs of the Diplomatic Mission of the Syrian Arab Republic in Egypt and a group of Egyptian state leaders.
