Archbishop Atallah Hanna of Sebastia for the Greek Orthodox on Tuesday offered his condolences over the martyrs of the massacre committed by the Israeli occupation in Majdal Shams in the occupied Syrian Golan last Saturday that claimed the lives of 12 children and wounded dozens.

The archbishop expressed his sadness over the loss of innocent people in this heinous crime.

“We came from occupied Al-Quds with a message of condolence, amity and solidarity with our dear people in the occupied Syrian Golan and with the bereaved families,” archbishop Hanna said.

He added “we have full confidence in the wisdom, patriotism and authenticity of the people of the Golan. The Golan has been and will always be a Syrian Arab land and it daily confirms its belonging to the homeland and adherence to the Arab Syrian identity.

Archbishop Hanna called for an end to the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people in Gaza Strip and an end to the Israeli attacks on all the occupied Arab territories.
