Aoun to form government with full powers

BEIRUT, Sep.20, (ST)- The Lebanese President General Michel Aoun has affirmed that he is working to form a Lebanese government with full powers.

During his meeting today at B’a da Palace with the ambassadors of the European Union in Lebanon, Aoun said: “If the presidential vacuum occurs after October 31, the government will assume the full powers of the president.”

He indicated that Lebanon needs political and sovereign reform in addition to structural changes in the system that must be strengthened and reformed.
