Daraa, (ST) – An Italian tourist group of six people working in different professions yesterday visited the ancient city of Bosra. This visit left a positive impression on them as it reflected the true image of the Syrian people.
SANA reporter accompanied them on their tour and conveyed their impressions about the visit. Emmanuel Lombardi a technician working in the automotive industry) expressed his happiness for visiting Syria. He said that the image he saw about Syria is different from the one he knew through the media saying: “What I liked the most is the good reception and hospitality in all the areas that we visited it”.
He pointed out that he liked in Bosra the ancient history and civilization, which indicates the region’s importance in ancient civilizations.
As for Erica Fard (a housewife), she explained that her visit to Bosra is a dream that has haunted her since ancient times, as she loves history and antiquities, and she has worked in this field for previous periods. She pointed out that when a person enters Syria, he finds a mixture between the ancient and its tradition, and between the modern and its development, wishing prosperity and progress.
The rest of the group members expressed their complete satisfaction with the visit and wished that Syria will return to keep pace with the tourism development.
