Ambassador Haddad: Eurasia is center of civilizational and economic communication between East and West
Syria’s ambassador to Russia, Dr. Riad Haddad, affirmed that the Eurasia region has been, throughout the ages, the center of civilizational, economic and human communication between the people of the East and West, and this communication played the greatest role in the development and cooperation of human civilization between countries and people.
In his speech before the International Forum of People’s Diplomacy, which was organized by the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly on the fifth anniversary of its founding, which was held today in Moscow, Haddad indicated that the authority has worked since its establishment to deepen communication between the peoples of the Eurasia region and to strengthen relations between the countries of the region. He underlined the importance of this communication and cooperation, which is increasing today at all levels, especially the popular and humanitarian level, in view of the global events we are witnessing against the background of the Russian special military operation aimed at defending the people of the Donbass and uprooting Nazism.
Haddad stressed that Syria was one of the first countries that supported Russia’s eligibility in this battle it is waging, because it is fully convinced that it is in the interest of the peoples of the entire world, and its results will restore world history to its right track based on cooperation and partnership between the peoples of the East and West.
Haddad pointed to the huge amount of lies, hypocrisy and misinformation practiced by the Western and international media against Russia and its military operation. He considered that the importance of popular diplomacy among the peoples of Eurasia comes from the need to confront these lies and expose slanders and convince people that what is happening today is building a multipolar world that is based on respect for the sovereignty of states and the protection of their rights, and is in the interest of all peoples.
