With the purpose of documenting the cultural and humanitarian heritage of the Syrian city of Aleppo, the Faculty of Architecture in Aleppo University hosts a photo exhibition titled “Aleppo from Destruction to Victory”.
The exhibition was opened marking the 41st anniversary of October Liberation War. It displays 114 photographs and artistic works expressing the steadfastness of the people of Aleppo in the face of terrorism.
Secretary of the Aleppo Baath Arab Socialist Party branch Ahmad Saleh Ibrahim said the exhibition is the first of its kind in Syria and it will be held in several Syrian provinces to explain the huge suffering caused by the armed takfiri terrorist organizations to the people of Aleppo.
“Syria will triumph over terrorism and the Syrians will rebuild their country,” Ibrahim said.
Imad Kukeh, supervisor of the exhibition, said the works show the cultural heritage of Aleppo including its alleys, neighborhoods, and mosques. They expose the terrorists’ crimes of destruction against the city’s archeological sites and express the Syrian people’s confidence in achieving victory.
On the sideline of the exhibition, a documentary film was screened showing the archeological sites of the historical city and the barbarity of the terrorist groups which destroyed the city’s heritage and looted its historical treasures.
