“Aleppo Creative Works” “an exhibition by female artists at the Al-Assad Fine Arts Gallery in Aleppo
Aleppo, (ST)- The Ministry of Culture in cooperation with the Fine Artists Union and Lawyers syndicate held an exhibition of female artists from Aleppo entitled “Aleppo Creative Works “at Al-Assad Fine Arts Gallery in Aleppo.
The exhibition showcased the works of 41 artists from different schools and various topics, including heritage, the old neighborhoods of Aleppo, the aesthetics of Arabic calligraphy, the expressions of human faces, their psychological components, and the artist’s personal experiences.
Dr. Lubana Mushaweh, the Minister of Culture, explained in a statement that this activity is for Aleppo women, some of whom are boldly displaying their paintings for the first time among veteran artists, noting the diversity of topics and tools. She confirmed that plastic art is a message not just a title, pictures, and lines, but rather a sophisticated means of expression for ideas, philosophy and visions.
In his turn, Youssef Mawlawi, head of the Aleppo branch of the Union of Fine Artists, pointed out that this exhibition is for Aleppo women to highlight their inner components and express their opinions, and it came in partnership with the Women’s Committee to prove their presence on the scene and their role in building society.
For her part, lawyer Rania Saeed, head of the Women’s Committee of the Aleppo in Lawyers syndicate ,explained that the exhibition came to support and care for Aleppo women who have artistic and cultural talent. She indicated that plastic art in particular documents the cultural identity of nations and peoples and eliminates the differences between them.
Among the participants for the first time was the artist Saba Azizi, who expressed her happiness to participate with a group of artists who follow different schools, because diversity enriches thought and increases artistic knowledge. She presented a large-sized expressive painting of a woman with multiple colors to give hope and optimism.
As for the visual artist, Annie Deshjikian, participated with an acrylic painting and chose the color blue to give calm to the place, she expressed the overlapping thoughts that circulate in the human soul and how to organize them with hope.
