Syrian film director Al-Mohanad Kalthoum is a jurist in the Casablanca International Documentary and Short Film Festival, whose activities will be held under the title (Cinema and aggression against the besieged Gaza Strip) in the city of Casablanca in the Kingdom of Morocco from the 23rd to the 25th of this month.
The festival is organized by the Casablanca International Festival of Documentary and Narrative Film Association and with the support of the Moroccan Film Center. 14 films will compete in the official competition whose jury is chaired by the Iraqi director Hadi Al-Idrisi.
According to the festival’s president, Raja Cherkaoui, this festival is characterized by the diversity of narrative and documentary films and their strength in presenting cinematic topics, in addition to honoring a number of Moroccan and Arab cinema personalities.
It is noteworthy that Kalthoum participated as a member of the jury committees in many Arab and international festivals, the most recent of which was the International Documentary and Narrative Film Festival in Tunisia earlier this month.
