On July 2nd, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Faisal Al-Miqdad, met with a delegation of heads of Christian churches in Australia.
During the meeting, Minister Al-Miqdad stressed the importance of this visit, which gives the delegation members the opportunity to see closely the situation in Syria, reviewing the recent developments in the region, and pointing to the unity of the Syrians that faced the conspiracies against their homeland, especially the effects of the war on terrorism.
Al-Miqdad welcomed all initiatives aimed at linking expatriates to their homeland and its civilized and human values.
In turn, the members of the delegation expressed their solidarity with the people in Syria, and their belief in the inevitability of Syria’s rise and its return to its economic and civil glory.
The members of the delegation pointed to the importance of preserving the social and moral values and the cultural heritage of the East.
The members of the delegation expressed their support for Syria in the face of the unilateral coercive economic measures imposed by some countries on it under pretexts that are humanly and morally unacceptable.
