Al-Mikdad receives credentials of the new Iranian Ambassador to Syria

Damascus- Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Faisal Al-Mikdad on Saturday received a copy of the credentials of Hussein Akbari as Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Syria .

Al-Mikdad held a meeting with the new ambassador during which he wished him all success in his mission, expressing satisfaction over the high level of coordination between Syria and Iran.

He affirmed the important role the ambassadors of the two countries can play to enhance bilateral ties in a way that serves the interests of the peoples of Syria and Iran and achieves development, stability and prosperity to the peoples of the entire region.

For his part, Akbari stressed that he will spare no effort to boost coordination and cooperation between Syria and Iran in accordance with the visions of the leaderships of the two countries.
