Al Hourani : The Israeli enemy plans to erase the Palestinian identity and cause

The President of Arab Writers Union Muhammad Al-Hourani has warned of the Israeli enemy’s plans to erase the Palestinian identity and the Palestinian issue, stressing the need to expose the Zionist crime against the Palestinian people.

Al-Hourani said in a speech during the permanent meeting of the heads of the Arab Writers Unions, which was held in Beirut under the title “Palestine… Resistance to Identity and History”: “ the blood of the Palestinians, resistance men and children today is writing the story of the Palestinian struggle and strife over all Palestinian geography.” He added :” Talking about Palestine means talking about the Palestinian blood that has been offered for more than eight decades in defense of the entire nation”.

He pointed out that Palestinian children are the ones who will convey the story of struggle to confront the Zionist crime, and they are the ones who will confirm and deepen the Palestinian identity which the occupier is trying to erase from existence, just as it and its supporters tried to erase the Syrian, Iraqi and Yemeni identity and most of the identities which are still clinging to the option of resistance and to maintaining resistance and liberation.

Al-Hourani called for working to “root and present the Palestinian identity and issue in the Arab educational curricula, to teach it to our children because the enemy wants this identity to be absent so that this issue is not present and his crime is not apparent to young people”.

Al-Hourani stressed that “what is required now from the Arab Writers Union and the Arab media is to convey this issue and its justice to world public opinion and to work to expose the Zionist crime”.
