Ahmed Ghossoun qualifies for the semi-finals of the boxing competition at the Asian Games in China

Syrian national boxing player Ahmed Ghosoun qualified for the semi-finals of the Asian Games currently being held in China. 

Ghosun qualified for the semi-finals in the 80 kg competition, after defeating Tajik boxer ShabusNigmatalov, 5-0.

Ghosson defeated his South Korean counterpart, Kim Jingya, in the same weight, in his first confrontation in the tournament’s competitions, after being ahead of him in the three rounds with a score of three-zero. 

By reaching the semi-finals, Ghosson has secured a place on the podium with one of the medals in this weight category.
