Damascus – (ST)- With the participation of the delegation of the Syrian Arab Republic headed by the founder and head of the Board of Trustees of the Wathiqat Watan Foundation, Dr. Bouthaina Shaaban, and a number of Syrian institutions, the International Conference on Oral History will be held next Monday in the Sultanate of Oman under the patronage of the Governor of Muscat, “Saud bin Hilal bin Hamad.”
The conference, which is titled “The International Conference on Oral History: The Concept and Experience in the Arab World,” will continue for three days at the Grand Millennium Hotel in the Al Khuwair area of Muscat.
The first day of the conference will be devoted to theoretical lectures, the second day to workshops for Syrian, Arab and international researchers, and the third and final day will be devoted to issuing future recommendations for developing the oral history experience and cooperation at the Arab level to achieve this goal.
In addition to the Wathiqah Watan Foundation, the Syria Trust for Development, the University of Damascus, the Ministry of Culture, and the Syrian Ministry of Information will participate in the conference.
