Absence of international accountability encourages Israel to worsen the Palestinian people’s plight: Palestinian Foreign Ministry
The Palestinian Foreign Ministry has reaffirmed that the absence of international accountability encourages the Israeli entity to commit more crimes against the Palestinian people that worsen their plight, particularly the crime of settlement expansion in preparation to annex the West Bank, thereby undermining all hopes for establishing the Palestinian state with Al-Quds as a capital.
In a statement on Tuesday, the Ministry said that the demolition of Palestinian houses and facilities and increasing settlement building activities are Israeli crimes that prove the colonialist nature of this occupation that seeks to displace the original owners of Palestine and change the country’s historical and cultural features through flooding it with millions of strangers and colonialists.
The ministry condemned the recent demolition of 17 Palestinian houses in occupied Al-Quds and the rest of the West Bank, pointing out that the occupation continues to issue notifications to demolish more houses and facilities in continuation of its open war on the Palestinian presence.
The ministry clarified that the international reactions don’t match the level of the occupation crimes, urging the international community to act immediately and force Israeli to abide by international legitimacy resolutions which help in ending the Israeli occupation of Palestine.
