On May 29th, a member of the Civil-Military Administration of the Zaporozhye region in southeastern Ukraine, Vladimir Rogov, announced that his region may propose to Russia to operate the military airport in the city of Melitopol and the naval base in the city of Berdyansk.
“I think we have something to suggest because on the territory liberated from the Ukrainian forces and their extremist battalions, we have at least two bases, the former Vostok naval base in Berdyansk and the military airport in Melitopol,” TASS news agency quoted Rogovas saying.
Rogov stressed that the presence of the Russian military in the region is a “guarantee of the security of the residents of the Zaporozhyeregion.”
In a related context, Rogov revealed that the mayors of cities in the region, teachers, company managers and other people who carry out their work received threats of imprisonment or death by the Ukrainian regime.
Rogov emphasized that Nazi terrorism is constantly present as it was after the 1941-1945 Great Patriotic War “in which Nazism was defeated”.
