A Stone Monument In Prague In Honor Of Iraqi poet Muhammad Mahdi Al-Jawahiri

Prague-(ST)- A stone monument representing the great Iraqi poet Muhammad Mahdi Al-Jawahiri was inaugurated in the Czech capital, Prague, in recognition of his creativity in writing the most beautiful poems, and the fact that he lived there for about thirty years before moving to live in Damascus.
The event was held under the title“ Al-Jawahiri is a bridge between two cultures” in the presence of official representatives of the Prague Governorate and members of the Arab and foreign diplomatic corps accredited in the capital, including the Chargé d’ Affairs at the Syrian Embassy, ​​Muhammadiyah Al-Naasan, an Iraqi political and cultural delegation, and members of the Al-Jawahiri family, in addition to workers in the Arab and Czech cultural and media fields.
The monument was erected near the apartment in which Al-Jawaheri lived in the 6th district of Prague.
It is noteworthy that Al-Jawahiri lived in Prague in the period between 1961 and 1991 and wrote many of his patriotic and humanitarian poems there, the most prominent of which are “Dajle al-kher,” “Bareed Al-Ghurba,” and “Fata men al-Fetean.”
