In cooperation with al- Sweida Council City the Syrian Association Branch for Handicapped in the governorate has organized the Disabled 4th Festival.
The 10- day event included lectures on voluntary work in addition to a detailed explanation on the association’s various activities and services regarding offering all-out support for disabled in the governorate.
The activities also included a special day for honoring the injured soldiers of our national and heroic army.
Head of the branch Nizar Shouja’a spoke during the festival about the organization’s activities, giving priority for the free services the Association ensured for disabled, namely the branch’s efforts regarding organizing training courses in the fields of language and computer’s skills in addition to holding medical and educational symposiums.
” the festival activities also included a special fair for handicapped ‘s products in addition to organizing special shops for marketing the products ”the head also added referring to the fair’s important role in developing handicapped potentials to overcome obstacles that hindering their positive reaction with society.
Lectures during the festival also focused on the real meaning of voluntary work due to its key role on supporting handicapped especially during current critical circumstances our country is passing through.
The 10- day festival also included the inauguration of the Popular Heritage Fair.
Participants in the event also visited our injured soldiers in the city’s national hospital in a step that aimed at honoring them due to their main role in defending our beloved Syria against current global war that being implemented by certain local and foreign forces.
During the visit the participants expressed full admiration and respect to the soldiers ‘ sacrifices regarding facing the aggressive perpetrations of the terrorist organizations that aimed at fomenting sedition and chaos among Syria’s various sectors.
It is noteworthy that the festival which also included sport, educational and artistic activities also included a special day for offering psychological support for disabled and a ceremony for honoring 25 disabled and 55 students from the Social Care Association in the governorate.
