A message from President Al-Assad to his Nicaraguan Counterpart

 

 

 

MANAGUA, (ST) – President Bashar al-Assad has sent a letter to his Nicaraguan Counterpart Jose Daniel Ortega, thanking the Government of Nicaragua for its support to Syria.

 The letter was handed by Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Dr. Faisal al-Mikdad to Miguel d’ Escoto, Ortega’s Advisor for International Political Affairs.

  Escoto stressed the Nicaraguan Government’s condemnation of all attempts of foreign intervention in Syria’s affairs, reiterating its solidarity with the Syrian people, leadership and Government in confrontation of some countries’ schemes to undermine Syria’s sovereignty and independence.

 The Nicaraguan official said his country is optimistic that Syria’s victory is inevitable as it enjoys the backing of all countries which adhere to freedom and independence. He confirmed Nicaragua’s readiness to provide every possible help to Syria in the face of the current conspiracy.

 Fore his part, al-Mikdad expressed Syria’s gratitude for Nicaragua’s support to Syria at international forums and for its stances in defense of world’s just causes.
