The child protection team in Tartous held a celebration in AL-Mantar area on the occasion of the International Family Day, which falls on the fifteenth of May, with a group of beneficiaries.
They did this by implementing an interactive session aimed at highlighting the importance of the family as a cornerstone in society, where through the session a comparison was made between a small family and a large family, the pros and cons of each size, and a discussion how the family affects the development of the child’s personality through the promotion of education and family communication, ties of belonging, values and ethics.
The session also included health awareness on the importance of reproductive health, during which an invigorating break entitled “Who Am I” was presented.
At the end of the session, the beneficiaries wrote their names and commented on the family tree to express the atmosphere of intimacy and love prevailing among the members of the group.
