President Al-Assad held phone call with his Egyptian counterpart

DAMASCUS, JUL.6, (ST)-Today, President Bashar Al-Assad held phone call with the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, during which he congratulated him on the anniversary of the June 30 revolution in which the Egyptian people triumphed over extremism.

President Al-Assad affirmed that the June 30 Revolution brought back Egypt to its natural place, which reflects the culture, values ​​and concepts of the Egyptian people.

He indicated that if the region had fallen into the trap of extremism, it would have been difficult for this region to stand again.

President Al-Assad stressed that the confrontation of extremism by the Syrian and Egyptian peoples contributed to protecting all countries and peoples of the region.

Moreover, the two presidents exchanged congratulations on the occasion of the Hijri New Year and wishes of peace and security to the peoples of the region and the world.
