Palestinian Prisoners’ Commission warns of continuous deterioration of prisoner Abu Hamid’s health condition
The Palestinian Prisoners and Ex-prisoners Affairs Commission has warned of the continuous deterioration of the health condition of the Palestinian prisoner Naser Abu Hamid who has cancer.
Wafa News Agency cited the Commission’s spokesman Hasan Abed Rabbo as saying that Abu Hamid’s condition is getting worse day after day because of the medical negligence of the Israeli occupation authorities. He is unable to speak normally and he suffers from loss of weight, breathes only through an oxygen mask and eats only crushed food as a result of the spread of cancer in his body.
A few days ago, the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society said that recent medical reports indicate the continuous and rapid deterioration of Abu Hamid’s health condition after the doctors decided to stop his chemotherapy.
It said that he had recently contracted pneumonia, which prompted his transfer to the hospital, but he was later brought back to Ramla prison.
