Kherson region in Ukraine adopts the Russian ruble as the official currency

Deputy Head of the Military Administration of the Kherson region in Ukraine Kirill Strimosov announced that Kherson will be adopting the Russian ruble as its official currency as of the first of May 2022.

Russia Today website quoted Strimosov as saying that the Russian currency will become the only official currency in the region after about four months, and during this period it will be possible to trade the ruble and the hryvnia, the Ukrainian currency in Kherson.
