Damascus-(ST)- With the participation of 55 local and international companies, the second session of the Syrian International Exhibition for Agricultural Mechanization and Supplies (AGRO Syria 2024) was launched Wednesday evening at the new fairgrounds in Damascus.
In a statement to reporters, the Minister of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform, Engineer Mohamed Hassan Qatna, stressed the importance of moving from general exhibitions to specialized exhibitions in the field of agricultural mechanization because they contribute to developing and improving production.
In turn, the head of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Agriculture, Muhammad Kashto, considered the exhibition an opportunity for dialogue between producers, pointing to the importance of agricultural mechanization in reducing production costs and providing products.
In turn, the Director of the Livestock Department at the Arab Center for Studies of Arid Zones and Dry Lands (ACSAD), Dr. Muhammad Al-Nasri, stated that the center participates in the field of camels, which have an economic role, and ACSAD has a major role in developing and preserving the camel sector.
The opening of the exhibition was attended by a number of ambassadors, representatives of diplomatic missions, the Director General of ACSAD, and a number of central directors in the Ministry of Agriculture.
It is noteworthy that the exhibition continues until the twenty-seventh of this month and receives visitors from five in the afternoon until ten in the evening.
